New to our portfolio for 2009/2010Set above the shore and looking back to the harbour village of Helmsdale, this newly converted holiday home is very spacious and has it all. Very private with access to the beach below and with panoramic sea views complemented by a large decking area for al fresco dining. You can sit in bed and watch the fantastic array of sea-birds, dolphins and seals offshore. Carefully chosen marine colours enhance the décor and the large stone open fireplace adds to the comfortable ambience. Fresh fish can be purchased from the boats which still land in the harbour, but should you wish to dine out there are several good restaurants locally and it is just a short walk to the village pub. Helmsdale has shops which provide local produce and fulfil most needs, with great golf and fishing nearby. A day out in Orkney is possible, a visit to the Castle of Mey, a climb of the most northerly Munro (Ben Hope) or a walk in the Geopark in nearby Assynt National Park, puffin watching on Handa Island, whale watching on a local boat, are a few of the opportunities available from Helmsdale, with many beautiful sandy beaches on the doorstep; you are spoilt for choice.
